Division of Water Resources Engineering
In Water Resources Engineering, research is pursued on how water resides and is transported in nature and in urban systems.
Studies are carried out on the movement of rainwater through land and foundations, how rain and melted snow reach rivers, flooding and the design of systems to reduce the consequences of flooding, as well as on how water flows, the spread of pollutants, and erosion along open coasts, rivers and lakes.
We also work with Integrated Management and Planning, that is how different sectors of society must work together to find optimal solutions to various water-related challenges. The research is of strong international character, and takes place in collaboration with many researchers and projects around the world.
